Snorkeling Tours

Beginner to advance pure snorkeling tours. 2 to 2.5hrs Snorkeling in Mahebourg bay is generally possible all year round but is optimal in the summer months, as you would expect from Tropical Island. Mahebourg bay is located on the southeast coast of Mauritius; this ancient port has the biggest and best-preserved lagoon in Mauritius. The water-depth vary considerably, much of the snorkeling sites are in the shallow (1m-8m) part of the lagoon and falls where patches of corals stands out within its turquoise water. This makes for a top underwater visibility which allows even the surface snorkelers to appreciate the extensive coral formation. In summer, November to April the Water temperature is between 27 and 31 degrees and it’s generally less windy. Tours are offered locally as the sites are accessible by boat and the most experience at it is Case Nautique in Mahebourg. The tours generally last 2hrs.
